Angel M.
Hi, my name is Angel! This is my first assignment here!
Voki is a website that can create an animated avatar that can speak and interact with the viewer. It is used for websites, games, and much more. It’s not that hard to use.
First you create an account. Second, you’re going to be able to change its voice and type what you want it to say. Then test it out by turning your volume up. If it doesn’t sound right, then you can always go back and change it.
After you know its stunning, then you can go and login into the yola account your teacher has provided. You can type a message and then add an attachment or link to a certain word in the sentence.
After you have typed a sentence and added a link to a website, you can save it and publish. Don’t forget to read over it. Wait for the site to publish.
Then you can press on the link and go to your site to actually see it. Once you have decided it’s perfect then you can tell your teacher. Then you can present and your website is beautiful.

Tagxedo is a website where you can take an image and make it completely out of words. The words can be anything. The picture can be anything as long as it is a shape that words can fit into.
We took a personality quiz which told us what kind of person we are. It only took fifth teen minutes and it asked about us. Once you finished it you get a type. A type is basically what category you would fit into, for example: entertainer, campaigner, adventure.
I got campaigner, which makes me an outgoing unorganized person. So, I picked words that went with that. Even though I am full of myself and conceited, I want to pick not nice words too, so its balance.
You would also want to pick words that go with your category. Even though you feel something is you, you might want to ask a neighbor what your like because, some people get confused.
I asked my neighbor and they told me the truth but not harsh but it helped with my assignment. I picked wild, loud, and outgoing. I picked those because I act just like it. When someone picks out their words its important to truthful.

Color Wheels are different colors in a shape of a wheel. Its colors usually come from the rainbow, primary colors, and cool and light colors. Cool colors on one side and light colors that represent heat on the other. We use the color wheel to blend and make new colors.
The first color wheel was invented or created by Isaac Newton. He split the colors up by using the sunlight beams. He associated each color with a musical note. After he created the color wheel he started studying the effect of colors. Now all artist and students use the color wheel for a lots of projects and just for fun.
Graffiti is a type of art made with spray cans. Most of it is just on sides of building but you can make graffiti for a living. The graffiti can be illegal, and most of it is, but that is not what my art is. People create graffiti manly to express their emotions or ideas to the world.
To create online graffiti, you can go to the site called postergen.com. This site generates what you want to be graffiti without you actually having to do it. Just type what you want then change the colors and click on the generate button. After you create one word you want to save it and make the next one. After that open up gimp and you can move the words around to how you like it.
I chose the words crazy, adorable, aggressive, loud, and outgoing. I chose those words because that is either what my friends call me or I just act like those certain words at times. The words have to describe you they can’t be random. That’s how you make online graffiti.

Giuseppe Arcimboldo was an Italian painter best known for creating imaginative portrait heads made entirely of objects such as fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, and books. Most artist use landscape and other objects. Giuseppe Arcimboldo was the first to paint an objects using fish, vegetables, and flowers.
I chose to create my food face using carrots, grapes, steak, cookies. I tried to use a different food from different category from the food pyramid. Steaks were the feet, grapes and curly fries were the hair, carrots were the legs...etc. My food face was your everyday police man. He had a star fruit badge and blue cookie mustache. I put him together in a circular shape, because in theory policeman eat donuts and are a little chubby.

The statue that lay before you represents a girl. Her name was Sophia she was a beautiful 14-year-old girl. She was like you and me and of course loved chocolate. She went to Grissom and was in 9th grade. Down the street her grandparents lived. Unfortunately, her mom and dad died in an airplane crash. They gave her a locket the day they left and she keeps it close.
The years was 1983, Sophia was getting ready for school she was excited for today she would see Lucas and he was the cutest. Wore a beautiful yellow black and white polka dot dress with blue converse. High ponytail…. check…. bag…. check…locket. Check! She ran out towards the yellow bus outside. Lola her best friend lived across the street and her and Sophia rode the bus together.
At school she went to her first period, second period, third period, when fourth period came everything was quiet. She was in art and drawing a project that had taken her all week. Lola sat across from her and made a picture on the computer. She was better at the computer anyway.
At 11:36 p.m. exactly a siren went off! The principle came on the louder speaker shouting LOCKDOWN... NOT A DRILL I REPEAT NOT A DRILL! The teacher quickly shoved us all in the back closet and all the lights were turned off. Sophia and Lola held on to each other hoping for refuge. Pitch black... Dark… Silent. Suddenly BAM! POW! BOOM! The grip between Sophia and Lola got tighter and tears ran down their cheeks. A bang on the door and a man in black came as another followed both loaded with weapons.
The art teacher stood up and grabbed books and threw. POW! It was up to the children now and it seemed nobody would step up. Sophia had paint behind her and turned and grabbed it. The paint was black and when she threw it covered the men’s eyes. All the kids ran out the door leaving. The men grabbed Sophia’s ponytail causing her to pulled into the wrong person’s arms. At gunpoint Lola had to think. Lola instead turned around and ran to get the police leaving Sophia to be at gunpoint. As Lola ran tears ran down her eyes when she heard the POW. She had left her friend to die. Sophia’s statue is in the field of the school and is deeply remorse her actual body was given to the family to have a proper funeral.

I was born on February 22, 1732 my father was a leading planter in the area and a served as a justice on the county court. I lived in what is now called Mount Vernon. I had 8 siblings. When I was 11 years old my father died and most of the power, wealth, land went to my older brother. I stayed with my mom and helped her with the plantation. That’s how I learned the life lesson of hard work and efficiency. My two older brothers went to England to finish their intelligence. I had a private tutor and learned writing, reading, and basic arithmetic. In the fall of 1753, I a 21-year old major was sent to deliver a message to the French, telling them leave the area. With the help of local Indians, I reached the French fort, with the message. The return trip tested my endurance. I hiked for days through snowy woods, fell off a raft into the ice-choked River, I nearly drowned, and was forced to spend a freezing night on an island without shelter. It was horrible and I still have nightmares! Luckily suffering got me an international reputation when I was 22. On January 6th 1759 I married my true love Martha Custis. She brought enormous wealth and two kids. Jacky and Patsy were their nicknames. Unfortunately, they died of illness at young ages. They still had grandchildren though. During the revolution war I fought against the British. Washington and Rochambeau commanded about 9,000 men -- some 5,000 fewer than Clinton. In the end, therefore, the allied generals concluded, that an attack on New York could not succeed. Instead they decided to strike at the British army under Cornwallis. The British had good reason to believe that the American rebellion would be over in a few months and that Congress would seek peace. The enlistments of most of my army were to expire at the end of December. On Christmas night, my troops crossed the Delaware and attacked the unsuspecting garrison at Trenton, forcing it to surrender. After that I got so many friends and a better reputation I was enlisted as the 1st President of the United states.
What’s the number 1 problem with facing today’s young teens? Is it peer pressure? Drug abuse? Or, is it dropping out? It’s all of them.
Becoming a teenager is a major change from when we hit those teen digits we come out from under our immature protective shell and face…puberty. During these dramatic years to come, stress builds up and causes not grey hair, nor creases in the forehead, but a lot of tension. When all the tension adds up, the stress becomes too much to handle. Slipping grades, also makes the teen feel worthless and inadequate. Leading to the teen to the one solution in their mind. Dropping out.
When dropping out, most teens think it’s worthwhile. What they don’t know is that it affects your future. Without graduating high school, you can’t go to college. No college equals no diploma which equals no steady life. Most drop-outs equal failure but some stories have succeeded. Most know the story of Bill Gates. How he dropped out and invented the computer. Not everyone is like that though. It’s very unlikely to have that kind of success story.
There are many attempted resolutions that work but haven’t made a true mark. One resolution was to get the curriculum interesting enough that students would enjoy learning. Most teenagers though are stubborn and school isn’t a priority. School should be a priority because it’s YOUR future. You control it. My idea is to have a future ghost. Not like the actual ghost but someone that you can learn from. Not a role model. Role models are someone you look up too. You don’t want to look up to a person who does bad things.
My idea is to have a field trip to the projects. Then go to the nice suburban homes. Show what can happen when you hit rock bottom and what can happen when you live the life. The difference is big and hopefully it will knock some since into their head.
