Voki is a website where you create a talking character that you can put on a website or just use for a presentation. The character can be customized and can be a person, several animals or a look alike of its creator. After making its appearance you can make it talk about the subject of a project or make it an introduction to a website. Afterwards you can listen to the character talk about whatever you put in and you may after to spell the words differently to pronounce the word correctly.
To create a Voki you must first go to www.voki.com and create an account. Once you have done that click “Voki” in the orange bar at the top of the page and it should bring you to a page that says “Create Voki” under where you just clicked. On this page you should see a gray box with a character in the upper left corner, to the right there are two rows of options that say “Customize your character” and “Give it a voice. Spread around the character box are dozens of options for your character’s appearance, some of the options will have graduation caps which you have to pay for.
After making your Voki’s appearance you can choose a voice for your character to use when it is speaking, to make it talk you move your mouse over to the “Give it a voice” box and type what you want it to say and choose a voice for your character. After that you choose one of the voice options then click the play button to hear it talk about your topic. After you have heard what the voice sounds like edit the words if it doesn’t pronounce it right.
If you want to you can change the background from the options provided after clicking the tree button labeled “Backgrounds”. If you don’t want to go through the process of creating a character by individually changing the appearance scroll over to the dice next to the character box and click it. It will then generate a random character and you can keep clicking the dice until you get one you like.
After you have finished your Voki locate the “publish” button and click it. Select one of the options you wish to use, an example is using a link and pasting it to a website. Voki can be used for entertainment or education purposes and is useful for presentations.
Tagxedo is a website where you choose and shape and choose words to form it. First I opened Tagxedo on Firefox because it does not work on Chrome. Then I uploaded a picture of me and edited it so it would look right. Then I changed the theme to the color group labeled “Punk Princess” and I chose my words.
The words I chose reflect on my personality and my general mood every day. The word “Analytical” fits me because whenever I’m put in a difficult situation I go over the several actions I could carry out and I pick the best one. Decisive also pairs with this word since I make my decision really quickly. I’m also reserved since I spend most of my time by myself reading books or playing games.
Tagxedo is a way to express myself by adding words that fit me instead of a normal picture that doesn’t tell you anything about a person. When looking at a person’s picture all you see is a person and all you formulate is your opinions. When looking at a Tagxedo you see a person and their emotions along with it. So Tagxedo is more expressive then a normal picture because it has more color to it.
Color wheels show the primary, secondary and tertiary colors with pictures representing the colors. They show which colors are opposite of each other and help find a set of colors for the art people make. The pictures can be anything and can also express people’s personality based on what the pictures are in the color wheel. Different artists have used colors from the color wheel in their paintings.
In the painting “The Scream” by Edvard Munch uses the primary, secondary and tertiary colors from the color wheel. The color wheel affected their artwork because they used a variety of blues and reds which makes it look more realistic. Using a variety of colors makes the painting look more colorful and not one color that looks blank. The primary and secondary colors were used in the sky area above the bridge which was made of tertiary colors.
Graffiti is illegal and people create graffiti because of the influence of their friends and are influenced by them because they think it is cool even though it is illegal and they only think about fitting in with their group. Graffiti is when people spray paint words in different ways on public buildings or monuments. It is illegal under vandalism and the person who did it has to clean it up, have jail time, or both.
To create a digital graffiti wall you open Gimp and then go to http://postergen.com/graffiti-creator and create your words. Then go to Gimp and add a brick wall and add it into the program. After that you add your words from the generator as layers and position them the way you want and then combine all of the layers from the panel on the right after clicking the words then save it as a jpg.
I chose the words because they describe my personality and how I act on a daily basis and they describe me by showing parts of my personality by using the colors to show what kind of person I am on the graffiti wall.
There was no evidence of thought or inspiration for Arcimboldi’s food faces and “Art critics debate whether these paintings were whimsical or the product of a deranged mind.”.
The food items I used were chosen because the colors went with each other and created a humanlike image when you look at the final image. The colors cancel each other out and don’t make a huge dot of colors that just looks strange. The food was positioned the way it was to make it look like a face and not just a bunch of food on a picture.
My name is Martin Van Buren and I am the eighth president of the United States and I was born on December fifth 1782 in Kinderhook New York. Before I became president I had several government jobs including in chronological order, I was a lawyer from 1803-1812 and then I began working in the New York State Senate then moved on to become Attorney General. I then went to work in the US Senate in 1821 and became New York Governor in 1829 only to resign to serve as vice president for Andrew Jackson in 1829.
I became president in 1836 while the Whig party ran four different candidates hoping some would get popular enough to beat me and one would become president but their strategy failed and I won the most electoral votes and won the election.
While I was president I a depression hit America for five years and was blamed for it taking place. In 1837 I denied the request for Texas to become a state of the US and made the Treasury independent in 1840. I ran for president again in 1844 and lost to William Henry Harrison and retired in Kinderhook New York.
The social injustice for this poster is focused on women’s rights in middle eastern countries. The main part of the poster is the Ford Anglia in the center. By using American brands and showing an American environment it is modeling fairness because there is not a very big reason as to why females can’t drive vehicles. The reason provided as to why they are not allowed to drive is because they can’t leave the house without a male guardian and would open them up to socializing to men.
In America women are allowed to drive and no one can do anything about it. In Saudi Arabia however, they aren’t allowed because of the previously provided reason. Even though they are told not to leave the house without a male guardian, that doesn’t really say that can’t drive. Saudi women should be able to drive because if there happened to be a medical emergency they would not be able to get that person help.
Since women can’t drive anywhere they are forced to travel in taxis or buses. This is dangerous because they never know who is driving the taxi. They would be much safer driving their own cars with a male family member rather than finding a bus or a taxi just parked on the side of the road and it would improve the economy to have more cars being bought.
Though the primary religion in Saudi Arabia is instructing them to only go places with a male from their family, it says nothing about cars and when looking at most of the other countries women are allowed to drive all sorts of vehicles. The Saudi Arabian government should listen to the voice of women more and start giving them more rights. They have already given them voting rights as of 2015 and protests to drive vehicles are uncommon but are noticed. There are several petitions such as one which had over 14,500 signatures to support the right to drive.
This social injustice could be eliminated if the government in Saudi Arabia paid more attention to the protests and see that there is nothing wrong with women driving just as long as they have a male from their family with them and how it would improve their economy and the overall lifestyle in their country.
