Welcome to my website. View my voki here!

Making a Voki is actually pretty simple and can be narrowed down to just a few simple steps, considering it’s a pretty easy task. The first thing you’re going to want to do in order to create your Voki is the easiest, and most obvious: Go to Voki.com. I don’t know if I had to put that in there, but I want a good grade and I know some teachers will be really nitpicky, so I included it just in case. The second step is to either log in to a previously made Voki account, or to create a new one. For this you’ll need to have a valid email address and a password. After you do this, you should be brought to the “Voki” tab where you can view your previously made Vokis or make a new one. If not, click the word “Voki” in the top left corner.

After you have made it to the “Voki” tab, it’s time to start creating your Voki. To do this, you need to click the button that says “Create Voki,” which is directly under the “Voki” tab. When you do this you should be taken to a program on the website that you can make your Voki in. From here, you want to first plan out what you’re making the Voki about. Ask yourself questions such as “Why am I making this?” or “What is this Voki about?” When you have decided those things, go to a Microsoft Word or Notepad document and write about whatever you’re Voki is about.

When this is done, it is time to start customizing your Voki avatar. While customization isn’t mandatory, it adds a bit of personality to your Voki. When you are in the program, find the bar that says “Customize your Character.” The bar should have a blank face, clothes, glasses, and a folder on it respectively. The first thing you want to do is click on the blank face to choose your avatar. You are given a lot of options, so just pick whichever one suits you best. However, you can’t use any that have a graduation cap icon in the top right hand corner of the picture of the avatar, those require money. You can cycle through the categories until you find one you like. When you find an avatar you like, customize it to your hearts content using all the tabs under “Customize your Character.” You can also change dimensions and color of certain body parts with a gadget just under the window your Voki is in.

After you finish customizing your avatar, click on the X in the top right corner of the program, which is above and to the right of “Customize your Character.” You are now given an option to either “Give it a Voice,” or select a background. Click on the tree, meaning you want to select a background. Cycle through the types of backgrounds until you find one that you like, simply click on it. Now, click on the orange X above and to the right of “Backgrounds,” and your Voki is now fully customized, and all that’s left to do is to have it say something!

To do this, click on the “T” key under “Give it a Voice,” showing that you want to type in what the avatar says. It doesn’t matter what you type in the box, the avatar will say it. As for voices, it doesn’t matter as long as it says “US” or “UK” at the end. When you have finished typing and picked a voice, you are officially done with your Voki! All you need to do now is click the green “Done” button in the bottom right, and then hit publish, and you’re now ready to transfer your Voki to your webpage!

The first step to making a Tagxedo is opening Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer. You can’t use Chrome, because it lacks compatibility with an expansion needed to view the website. When you have the page up, click on the orange “create” tab. By the time this is up, you need to click on shape, and then select a silhouette for your Tagxedo to take shape of. You then click on load, and type in the words you want to fill up the shape with. After this, if you want you can also change the color and the fonts, but it’s not necessary. Finally, you click on save/share and select the resolution you want the picture to be.

The words I put in fit me very well. Some of the ones that describe me the most are dreamer, unique, and artistic. However, I think the word that describes me the most is “uninspired.” Whenever I go to do something, I almost always have little to no inspiration to do that thing, or really anything. When I am inspired to do something, it usually just turns out bad and then I won’t be inspired again for a while. I can almost never even find inspiration for things like video games or TV.

In my opinion, this describes me more than just a normal photograph of me, because it tells you things about me that you most likely can’t tell just by taking a look at my face. You wouldn’t know that I’m artistic just by looking at my face, and you probably can’t for most people either. Plus, since it’s just words, you can’t make out my appearance very well, leaving the person looking at it unbiased by good or bad looks. The Tagxedo describes much more than a normal picture would.

There are a lot of different things you can do with a color wheel; the possibilities are endless. One way you could get help from a color wheel is if you are drawing or painting something with abstract lighting, you could see what the opposite of a color is, and then use that for the lighting. Another use would be if you want to draw something that seems to pop out at you, or has very vivid colors, you could look at the color wheel and select a color, and then pick its triatic colors to really seem to pop out at you.

One very famous artist who used a color wheel is Vincent Van Gogh. A prime example of his using of a color wheel is his painting, Van Gogh’s Café Terrace on the Place du Forum, Arles. In this painting, he uses complementary colors a lot to make certain places seem brighter or darker. A good example of this is the rear windows in the painting. He uses a yellow-orange right next to a deep blue to make it seem as if the window is glowing and/or warm. In conclusion, color wheels are very useful and the use of one can truly make the distance between an okay painting and an amazing painting.

Graffiti is art or words drawn on a public area, like a concrete wall or the side of a train. People can do graffiti for a variety of reasons. One example would be simply to liven up a dull wall. They will see the boring, bland wall and decide to spice it up with a colorful picture. Another reason people do it is to express themselves. To them, graffiti is just another art medium and a way to show what they think. It can also be a sign of accomplishment. That’s why a lot of graffiti artists will make art saying they were there, the art is a sign of accomplishment to them. It’s them leaving their mark on the world. My final example of why people would make graffiti is to protest or make a message or point. An excellent example of this is Banksy. He is an unidentified graffiti artist from England who makes art that will be driven by issues in the world, or will simply be inspirational. One of his most known works is the words, “follow your dreams” with a red sign over it saying, “canceled.” This truly shows the meaningful side of graffiti.

I made the graffiti wall by first going to website Mrs. Wilson provided us: http://postergen.com/graffiti-creator and selecting the colors I want for the text. I then typed in my first name, clicked the white background, clicked generate, then saved the picture of the graffiti. I then entered a word that described me, generated it, and saved the picture. I repeated this 4 other times with different words. When this was all done, I opened each image of the word in separate Gimp windows. I clicked on layers, clicked transparency, and clicked on “Add Alpha Channel.” When this was done, I used the magic wand tool and clicked on the background. When the background was selected, I pressed the delete key then saved the image. I pressed ctrl + a, which selected all, and then clicked ctrl + c to copy the image. I then pressed ctrl + v on the brick wall image. I positioned my name in the center and made it larger than the other words. I then did the same with the other words, but positioned them around my name and made them smaller. Finally, I pressed ctrl + s to save the document, and I was done!

I chose these words to describe me because, well, they describe me. Each one can be related to me in some way. My first word is artistic. I chose this word because I am very right brained and love many mediums of art. I try to improve myself on my art any chance I can get. The second word is unique. This describes me because I don’t see many people like me. I have really varied interests in music, I have large hopes for the future and want to be known, and I am also the only male flute player in symphonic band. My third word is dreamer. This describes me because I dream big. I have a few career choices, my main choice being to play bass or guitar in a rock band. My second would be to be an indie game developer. While a lot of people wanted to do this when they were younger, not many people stuck with it. However, I still want to be a developer. My third choice is to be a famous writer. I have always loved writing fiction and fantasy, so making a career out of it would be very fun. While being an author isn’t as big of a dream, being a famous musician and/or being a game developer are pretty big dreams. My fourth word is hopeful. My life has been really odd recently, but despite all of this, I still have hope that the future will be better. I hope that I’ll have what it takes to play in a rock band, and I hope the band will be successful. Long story short, I am very hopeful and that’s why I chose that word. The fifth and final word I picked is devoted. I chose this word because when I’m inspired to do something, I am very devoted to becoming good at that thing. Take flute, for example. I played one the first time and immediately loved it, so I would practice playing it a lot. I was one of the best players in sixth grade, so I auditioned to be in the 8th grade band and jazz band when I get into 7th grade and won. Over the summer, I took private lessons and practiced a lot. My skills improved greatly because of my devotion to improving myself. In conclusion, every word describes me in some way, shape or form and I put a lot of thought into what words to choose for the graffiti wall.

Odds are, if you are reading this, you have probably seen what I look like. Well, you only kind of know. You see, my name is Benjamin Rhinestone, and I am the most uninteresting medical mystery in the history of the world. For some reason, ever since I was born, every picture of me has come out distorted in some way. My parents had never thought much of it, thinking that their camera was just messed up, until they took a group photo of my cousins and me, and the picture came out perfectly fine. Minus me, that is. They took me to the doctor to see if something was wrong with me, and the doctors couldn’t understand why the pictures were disfigured. Apart from that, I was perfectly healthy. Until a couple years ago, only a few correct images of me existed, and they’re paintings and caricatures. As I grew, I found some way to control this strange quality, and now I can make photos of me come out perfectly fine if I want, but also distort other parts if I so please. It’s official, I’m the lamest superhero since Squirrel Girl. While I would much prefer a power like flight or invisibility, it still is fun to mess with people using my gift. My personal favorite activity is going to live events, so that when the live camera has me in the shot, it messes up. Anyways, I love my “power”, even if it is pretty lame.

Have you ever heard of Michael Dudley? You know, the doctor who discovered the cure for cancer? The correct answer is no, and that is because he was aborted on September 21st, 1986. No one knows how great their child can become if they never give them a chance. Abortion is a major problem in the United States, and it should be stopped.

Every year in the United States, about 3,000 babies are aborted every day. That translates to a little over one million babies killed every year. That is one million people every year given no chance to make their mark on the world. One million people who could change the world for greater good. That’s about the population of the entire state of Montana in unborn babies executed each year. Just let that sink in.

Most abortions are done in the first 13 months of pregnancy, about 92%, and 66% are performed within the first 8 weeks. Around the 6-week mark, there are neurological pathways stemming from the brain, albeit in a primitive form. This means that a large amount of abortions is performed while the embryo’s brain is active. While the abortion occurs, the head is too large for the tool that is used, so it must be crushed with a pair of forceps. That is an active brain being wrongfully destroyed when the victim can’t even fight back. Can you imagine if someone did this to an infant after birth?

Some may argue with the first statement given about Michael Dudley, saying that the child that was aborted might’ve been evil when they grow up, such as Stalin or Hitler. Well, Hitler had 11 million deaths linked to him and Stalin had even more: 34-49 million. The person with the most linked to him, Mao Zedong killed 49-78 million people. However, there are 40-50 million abortions each year alone. It took these dictators years to do this, but abortion killed more people, all children, than they did in their entire lives. In two years, they’ll kill more than Mao. Abortion is far worse than any dictator there has ever been.

This is a serious problem in the world, the lives of innocent children shouldn’t just be thrown away at their mother’s whim. Getting rid of abortion isn’t hard, but getting people to support the pro-life movement is. With the citizens’ help, we can get rid of this atrocity of an operation and better the world, one step at a time. No one should be paid to kill children, and we should see to this.
